Dr. Chan is a bilingual forensic psychologist licensed in California. His clinical training was comprised of juvenile and adult correctional facilities where he worked with individuals adjudicated on a diverse range of offenses. His doctoral training culminated with the completion of an APA-accredited internship at San Quentin State Prison. Dr. Chan has provided treatment in correctional facilities across all custody levels to individuals with varying psychiatric and personality presentations, outpatient sexual offender treatment, clinical supervision, and has performed countless forensic evaluations addressing a range of referral questions.

Dr. Chan is a court-appointed forensic evaluator in multiple jurisdictions in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is retained by both prosecution and defense, and provides expert witness testimony in criminal and civil proceedings. In addition, he is certified by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) as a psychological evaluator and conducts pre-employment evaluations on peace officer candidates.
